NORDEN X CHAZ BEAR

Chaz Bear is a multi-disciplinary artist, widely recognized as a seminal singer, songwriter, and record producer. Though his musical career is ongoing, Bear maintains a visual art practice which includes photography, printmaking, drawing, painting, furniture design and sculpture. We have been fans of Bear's work, both as a visual artist and as Toro y Moi, for years - and admire his abundant creativity.

We are thrilled to introduce a limited-edition capsule collection, designed in collaboration with Chaz and Company Studio.

NORDEN X A QUESTION OF EAGLES

In 2017, we introduced the Zig Zag Candle - a very special collaboration with A Question of Eagles. We are excited to bring back this unique design in its original scent, again in very limited quantities. This candle brings together the incredible artistry and craftsmanship of A Question of Eagles and our passion for high quality, natural fragrances. We love the sculptural quality of their work, and the Zig Zag vessel of this collaboration is a beautiful illustration of that. The Norden x A Question of Eagles Zig Zag Candle features notes of Hinoki, Juniper, Sage and Eucalyptus - and was inspired by the Angeles National Forest.

BRAND FEATURE: SUN AT SIX

We are pleased to now stock Sun at Six, as part of 'Goods by Norden.' Co-founded by Antares Yee, Sun at Six is a furniture design studio that is interested in how spaces affect our everyday choices and how we interact with each other. All of the pieces designed by Sun at Six utilize traditional Chinese joinery techniques - and are crafted without screws. We love the simplicity and timeless look of their designs, and think their Yucca Plant Stands pair perfectly with our ceramic planters. We connected with Antares to learn more about Sun at Six and to share insight into their process.

Founded by Noelle Sharp, Aporta Shop is located in Missoula, MT and is rooted in a long history of store owners and small businesses - beginning in Denmark in the 1700s. We are proud to have Norden goods stocked on the shelves of Aporta Shop, alongside a beautiful selection of curated goods from around the U.S. and the world. A warm and welcoming shop in Portland, DANO was founded by Melissa Grandkoski with the intention of inspiring and supporting a conscious and radiant lifestyle. The interior of DANO is beautiful, and each shelf is thoughtfully curated with goods from independent makers. DANO brings together plant-powered apothecary, handmade wares, and hand-picked vintage pieces. We are proud to see Norden stocked on DANO's shelves, and are excited to share an interview with Melissa Grandkoski, DANO's founder, here.

We are excited to introduce our limited edition collaboration with Faculty Department and its founder, Justin Chung. Inspired by the visual world created by Justin, this wool blanket is custom jacquarded with a soft blend of cotton and wool. We love the central circular design - and the reversibility of the blanket which causes a unique interplay of color. White Water is a new hotel in Cambria, CA created by PRG Hospitality Group and designer Nina Freudenberger. Situated just south of Big Sur, Cambria is a quiet town with incredible coastal views - framed by fog and Monterey Pines. White Water is a modern interpretation of the laid-back Central California town, and the design seamlessly melds influences from California beach culture and Scandinavia.

OJAI TRAVEL GUIDE

Situated in the valley of Ventura County, just north of Los Angeles, Ojai is known for its mellow vibe, spiritual retreats and abundance of recreational activities. We've always loved visiting this small town, no matter the season. Our first visit to Ojai came in late winter and the scent of decaying grass, forest, earthy balsams and the smoke from burning palo santo wood enchanted us.
